The Message;
No Compromise, Lead by Example, Do Not Judge
LOVE, and if that don't work then LOVE Some More.
In my lifetime of being in and out of recovery, my WELL Experienced trial and ERROR, mostly error on the subject of substance abuse, I am only just here telling you that although I do believe we have a dis ease for sure- we also have the solution, or the 'CURE'.
Only trouble is we cannot seem to administer it properly or as needed.
That "CURE' is in each and every one of us, and it will take all of us the work together
to make it work

I had purchased a book and started getting VERY Interested in the workings at and efforts associated with Johnson Institute about 5 years ago. I was in the throws of active addiction, and was also attending Celebrate Recovery Meetings in my area,( Canada, Southern Ontario).
Bottom line is I could no longer find Johnson Institute or any of their connected sites, as in the Seven Priciples or policies needed to help curb addiction.
I am starting out in a new venture, one that I am hoping to focus on Education early one as well as make available people and resourses for those connected to, in any way- "THE ADDICT".
The Lifestyle/Signs/Symptons/cause effect. Yet the MEAT and HEART will ALWAYS be The One who didn't Die, The one WHO Has "The Answer that worked for them" EVEN Greater Yet- Is the ones with the testimonies of OVERCOMING The Odds and Testifying of a REAL Honest to Goodness Clean Life- Associated and Attributed to the Education and involvement in a life free (by Choice) from the use of outside substances to make up for the holes in our lives, holes that we all seem to come across along our way.
Well, I hope that even though I am responding to an Aged Posting, someone will see it.
God Bless You All!

The Harsh Reality of Drug Addiction richardmclaughlin007 — January 18, 2009 — after 11 months of sobriety from drug addiction, in 7 short days this man hits the depths of despair and insanity.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuNWCPDrJsM

This video was shot in Vancouvers downtown eastside by the narrator it is quite extreme, It shows how common place and and readily available drugs are and how people can succomb to a extreme physical reaction from lack of sleep, nutrition and dehydration. This video was made for many different reasons, one being educational the other as mentioned earlier it's common place here in Vancouver, in any other city or town in North America this man would have recieved immediate medical attention but here in Vancouver both the police and ambulance just drive by. If you do not belive me come on down and see our little human circus slash "HARM REDUCTION EXPERIMENT"
This man was spotted two hours later sleeping on a concrete curb as his pillow.
Both the narrator and producer of this video have had spent many years struggling with addiction and have spent hard time in Vancouvers "NOTORIOUS" downtown eastside.
Today they have escaped and are clean and sober and now dedicate there lives to those who still suffer from "THE HARSH REALITY OF ADDICTION"

education is like a mountain. The harder you climb ,the nearer it goes. So, you have to study hard to reach the top.
once you've graduated you'll have a better life. You must appreciate education, without it it will be hard to get job.

This is to confirm our invitation that individual members and groups working with Faith Partners join as participants in our new, rapidly growing, no cost, International Christian Recovery Coalition. Over the past year, we have traveled and spoken widely to Christian leaders and those in the Christian recovery arena who have felt they were alone. The message is that God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Biblel played a vital role in the astonishing successes of the early A.A. Christian fellowship founded in Akron in 1935. And we believe that those who are suffering and want God's help ought to know the recovery movement's real history and feel unfettered in any desired effort to seek a relationship with God and get well by reliance on Him. Come join us. Look at our website www.ChristianRecoveryCoalition. And contact me if there are questions or comments. In His Service, Richard G. Burns, Executive Director, Kihei, Hawaii, author of 38 published titles on the history and successes of early A.A.

We were just actively following the guidance of a resolution adopted by our Annual Conference to support National Recovery month. The National Recovery Month website was listed in that resolution and we followed through with a local proclamation from our Mayor read at a City Council Meeting. Our Pastor Afuhia 'I. 'Akolo and I each received official copies of that proclamation. Our Bishop, Warner H. Brown, Jr., sent each of us a letter praising our efforts.
