Recognition for Martinez UMC

The Faith Partners ministry from Martinez United Methodist Church (Martinez, CA) has recently received a Proclamation from the City of Martinez, acknowledging their work in support of recovery efforts. The team represents the Cal-Nev Conference of the United Methodist Church and the recognition was made in conjunction with National Recovery Month.
We were just actively following the guidance of a resolution adopted by our Annual Conference to support National Recovery month. The National Recovery Month website was listed in that resolution and we followed through with a local proclamation from our Mayor read at a City Council Meeting. Our Pastor Afuhia ‘I. ‘Akolo and I each received official copies of that proclamation. Our Bishop, Warner H. Brown, Jr., sent each of us a letter praising our efforts.
